1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy applies to the mobile application NoorDeen: Quran & Prayer Times (referred to as "the App"), developed, owned, and operated by Gigani Technology ("we", "us", or "our").

We are deeply committed to protecting your personal privacy. NoorDeen is built with a privacy-by-design architecture: we do not sell your data, we do not use third-party advertising SDKs, and we process your sensitive worship data locally on your device.

2. Data We Collect & How We Use It

A. Precise & Approximate Location Data (GPS)

• Purpose: To calculate exact daily prayer times (Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, Isha) tailored to your geographic coordinates and calibrate the Qibla compass direction.
• Storage & Handling: Your location data is processed strictly on-device in real time. We do not transmit, log, track, or store your coordinates on any remote servers.

B. Microphone & Audio Recording Access

• Purpose: The Tajweed and Makharij feature allows users to record their voice locally to practice Arabic articulation against audio recitations.
• Storage & Handling: Audio recordings are temporary and stored in your device’s sandbox cache. They are never transmitted over the internet or uploaded to any cloud infrastructure.

C. Local Device Storage (Preferences & Bookmarks)

• Purpose: App settings, reading bookmarks, downloaded Quran audio surahs, and Tasbih dhikr counts are saved locally on your device storage.
• Storage & Handling: This data remains under your direct control and is erased if you clear the app data or uninstall the application.

3. Third-Party Services & Network Requests

NoorDeen connects to external endpoints solely to deliver core media and market utility functionality:

  • Audio Delivery Networks: Streamed and downloaded Surah recitations are fetched via secure HTTPS connections from public Islamic audio repositories (e.g., EveryAyah, AlQuran.cloud).
  • Zakat Rate API: Live market rates for 24K Gold and Silver are fetched to compute Nisab thresholds. No user financial entries are transmitted.
  • Native App Distribution: Standard crash and performance metrics managed by Google Play Services (Android) or Apple App Store (iOS).

4. Zero Advertising & Non-Monetization of Data

NoorDeen is 100% ad-free. We do not integrate tracking SDKs, ad networks (such as Google AdMob, Unity, or Meta Audience Network), or user profiling algorithms.

5. Children's Privacy

Our application does not knowingly solicit or collect personal identifiable information from children under the age of 13. Since all core features operate on-device without registration, parents can safely allow family members to use NoorDeen.
